CASE STUDY: National Textbook Services
The implementation of Common Core in our national education system meant that 80% of the text books in schools across America would be phased out immediately. National Textbook Services primarily sold used books. Needless to say this was a big issue for their business, so they redirected their focus to selling new books. This required them to establish relationships with publishers of new books and more importantly, create a system that allowed them to communicate with multiple publisher’s online formats. They also needed to follow orders from inception to delivery from all these different publishers.
ConnectPointz overhauled their system and online process. Our software enabled National Textbook Services to connect to all of their suppliers using various methods of communication and data layouts. It also enabled them to log in and track all client orders throughout their lifecycle. Including the ability to modify orders as needed in real time.
Since partnering with Connectpointz National Textbook Services completely streamlined their system and sold more new books in half of 2014 then they did in all of 2013. They are now well positioned to enter into a relationship with all of the publishers in their target market, control overhead costs and inventory shortages, which will help them grow their business in a completely new sector.
